I woke up on a high from our Full Moon Event last night and it has me reflecting on female power and the magic of our new Vice President.
When Kamala Harris raised her right hand to take the oath of office in her all purple monochrome outfit, I sat in awe, proud to witness history. The first woman in American history elected to national office. That moment not only broke new barriers, but brought motivation, inspiration and hope to Black and Brown women everywhere. This will open the doors for so many people to envision themselves as our nation’s future including my daughter, who will now know what is possible when you are determined. My daughter can say “my Vice President is a Black woman!” A sentence that had never been said before.
The world feels a little bit safer today. Like change is near, and the work that needs to be done will finally begin. Just as Biden is now considered the most powerful man globally, Kamala Harris is now the most powerful woman. They model what we as people need to do more of: different races, genders, and backgrounds working together for the greater good. This was a historic moment that shows many including myself that sky's the limit.Read more
